"To set forth a common goal to come together as one community, united in the effort to provide programs, which will educate and inform all child advocates on a variety of topics which will further the cause of better understanding, nurturing, and assisting young people who are in need of help. As many mental/emotional/behavioral disorders originate in childhood, a concerted effort should be made toward the reduction of such risks, prevention of onset, and early intervention to promote healthy development and better prepare the child for adulthood."

"Standing Together for Our Youth"

Dear Child Advocate:

Judge Davids 10th Annual Community In-Service was scheduled for March 19, 2008; however, as many of you are aware, Judge David was called to active military duty in September, 2007, schedule to return to Boone County fall, 2008. In light of Judge Davids active military status and the unexpected cancellation by the scheduled keynote speaker, the 2008th Community In-Service has been cancelled.

The In-Service will resume with renewed vigor on March 18, 2008. The program is already being planned! Included among the many exciting and knowledgeable speakers we will look forward to a full report from our resident Colonel on his most recent year of active duty service.

Please save the days, we know how busy you are MARCH 18, 2009 and look forward to seeing each of you then!
