Boone County Prosecutor
Todd Meyer is the current Boone County Prosecuting Attorney, having previously been affiliated with the law firms of Lowe, Gray, Steele & Darko, LLP (Indianapolis) and Parr, Richey, Obremskey & Morton (Lebanon.) Meyer is licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States; the United States District Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit; the United States Tax Court; the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of the State of Indiana; and the Supreme Court of the State of Indiana. He has also served as an at-large member on the Boone County Council.
After graduating from Lebanon High School and studying at Harlaxton College in Grantham, England, Todd received his undergraduate degree as a Bachelor of Science from the University of Evansville. He then went on to receive his Juris Doctorate from Indiana University’s School of Law. His affiliations include the American Bar Association, the Indiana Bar Association, where he serves on its Improvements in the Judiciary Committee as well as a member of its Litigation Section and Young Lawyers Section. In addition, he is a member of the Indiana Trial Lawyers Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association, and the Boone County Bar Association where he currently serves as its President.
Todd and his wife, Mary Frances, live in Boone County where he is involved in a variety of community activities, including membership in Lebanon's First Presbyterian Church, Ulen Country Club, several local senior service organizations and public interest groups.
Prosecutor Meyer and a panel of Boone County officials will discuss new approaches and efforts to curb underage drinking as he calls for a mobilization of our community toward this endeavor. The focus will be, in part, on helping everyone realize their responsibility regarding this subject; from the vender to the buyer, school officials, parents, and those who choose to host parties where alcohol is served to youth under the age of twenty-one. As alcohol continues to be the "drug of choice" for young people, this topic deserves our ongoing and increased attention.
