Dr. George Parker is an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry at the Indiana University School of Medicine, where he is the Director of Forensic Psychiatry. He has done forensic evaluations for judges and lawyers throughout Indiana and teaches medical students and residents about forensic psychiatry. Dr. Parker is also the Medical Director for the Indiana Division of Mental Health & Addictions, where he works on appropriate treatment and access to treatment for people with serious mental illnesses and forensic issues with state hospitals, community mental health centers and other state agencies. Dr. Parker has particular experience in criminal evaluations, including competence to stand trial, sanity and pre-sentencing reports. He is also available to do civil evaluations, such as competence to write a will, and disability evaluations, including return to work evaluations and independent medical evaluations. Colleagues at Riley Children's Hospital have expertise and significant experience in child custody evaluations.
