
eff Edens is the Judge of Boone Circuit Court. Appointed by Governor Daniels to replace newly appointed Indiana Supreme Court Justice Steve David, Judge Edens returned to the Circuit Court bench where he served as Judge Pro Tempore from September 2007 to May of 2009.
Prior to his appointment, Judge Edens was the Boone County Chief Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.
A 1976 graduate of Lebanon High School, Judge Edens comes from a family tradition of public service to Boone County. His great grandfather, Isaac T. Davis was elected Boone County Sheriff in 1882. His grandfather, John Huber was elected Boone County Recorder in 1906 and also served as Lebanon Postmaster.
A former member of the Lebanon Kiwanis Club, Judge Edens served as Key Club advisor to both the Lebanon High School Key Club and the Indiana District of Kiwanis International. He served as Kiwanis Host Committee Chairman for the 60th Annual Key Club International Convention held in Indianapolis in 2003.
Currently Judge Edens is the secretary of the Lebanon Rotary Club and serves on the Oak Hill Cemetery Board of Directors. Judge Edens was the President of the Boone County Chamber of Commerce in 1990.
From 1987 to being named Chief Deputy Prosecutor in 2004, Judge Edens was a partner in the Lebanon law firm of Shelby & Edens, P.C. During that time, he also was a Boone County Deputy Prosecuting Attorney.
Judge Edens and his wife Portia have two sons, Clay and Clark.
